We are a highly agile and dynamic school camp provider, ensuring our programs evolve for returning schools and students by introducing them to new landscapes and themes. This is a deliberate measure to take students out of their comfort zones, yet also discover other parts of NSW.

As part of their camp and outdoor ed experience, we offer a range of activities depending on the purpose of the school camp. Activities include (but are not limited to): Bush walking and navigating, kayaking, canoeing and rafting, abseiling and rock climbing, flying fox and high ropes, commando course, laser tag, caving, coasteering, surfing, night activities, whip cracking, camp oven cooking, Aboriginal traditions.

On our School Camps we invite students to step outside their comfort zones and take risks in a controlled and safe environment.

  • A true camp experience

For us, a school camp is just that – an authentic Australian camping experience. Camping is an important birth right of all Australians – some of whom today do not have the opportunity to experience this where they live or with whom they live.

  • Uniquely Australian Learning

We also provide opportunities for all our camp participants to learn more about what it means to be an Australian. This encompasses many things including, what indigenous Australians taught us, how pioneers and drovers survived, how to fish and appreciate the ocean & waterways. This enriches the camp experience for each and every participant. You can read more about our Australian experiences here.

  • Personal Development for all

At Black Diamond Adventures we are committed to helping each and every participant grow in a multitude of ways through their camp experience. This can be through highly focused learning objectives or ancillary learning. We apply life and psychological methodologies to help participants take the steps to further their growth, self-belief, resilience and confidence, as well as, their social and leadership skills. We also aspire for teachers and supervisors on our programs to have a transformative experience while with us. Note, it’s a key goal and expectation that our staff will also rise to challenges and take on new opportunities.

  • Experienced, quality staff

Our team has extensive experience in running school camps and working with primary and secondary school groups from the private and public sector. Amongst our team are former Outdoor Ed and P.E. teachers and staff with relevant qualifications. Our staff follow a comprehensive risk-management plan and ensure a safe staff to student ratio is implemented. Importantly, we invest substantially in staff development and management including pre-and post-course training and de-briefs. Part of the ethos of our company is to deliver a program that we would love to be on – this drives our passion and commitment to service, amongst other things.

  • Teacher Support

We are here to help teachers have a great camp experience too! This starts with supporting teachers prior to coming on camp with advice and suggestions for teachers, students and parents regarding gear lists, what to expect and other preliminary information. For schools with limited time, we can run our camps from a number of convenient locations and arrange everything from food and travel to multiple accommodation styles and challenging activities. Teachers who join us for camp get looked after with a choice of sleeping arrangements and assortment of meals.
